About

Why are you making a website/blog?
I am looking to develop more skills and advance in my career. I think this would be a good way to do it, so that I gain more skills and experience. Plus, this way, whatever I do is documented and I don’t have to rely only on memory for little tasks. I also want a way for my troubleshooting style and skills to be shown. Those are difficult to show in an interview, but if people see my thought process in a narrated format, it may be more understandable.

What qualifications do you have and what are you currently doing?
Currently I work for a Telecommunications company in the Network Operations Center. I have been in the IT/Networking Industry since February 2019. I recently became CCNA Routing and Switching certified in February 2020.

What will this blog look like stylistically and with regards to content?
I want to be clear. My goal for this site is to help me to develop technical knowledge and advance professionally. To do that, I think the best way is to display what I know and how I do things. Towards that end, I want to start initially with posts on how I solve simple problems that I face in my home environment that are technical in nature, at all levels of the OSI model, and that show my style warts and all. I also want to host projects here, or links to projects that I am working on that showcase what I can do.
